This Saturday I'll be perched on my little bike, pedaling my heart out.

It's the Ride for Refuge, an event to raise awareness and support for displaced, vulnerable, and exploited people in our world. I'll be riding for Kinbrace, a community of welcome that provides housing to refugee claimants here in Vancouver. I've been involved at Kinbrace for nearly two years, and have become friends with many people who have had to leave their homes because it was no longer safe for them and their families. So I'm riding for them, and for the thousands I haven't met who are in need of refuge.
