Joel Armstrong: a darn good dj + electronic music producer + designer/programmer + human. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Joel to re-design the logo for his record label dot dot records. This here is the awesome result of our creative/genius/inspired collaboration.

Today I discovered Kris Atomic via design is mine. Her illustrations make me want to try gouache again.
I love these single image narratives best.
I’m a sucker for animated films. Especially traditionally 2D animated films. Particularly 2D animated films directed by Sylvain Chomet (Les Triplettes de Belleville, La Vielle Dame et les Pigeons)
This movie, L’illusionniste, has caused some obsessive searching for updates and trailers over the past two years. And it’s finally been released!
In Europe.
The waiting continues.

Last week I started working from my new studio which is AWESOME, mainly because it’s not my closet. Since I got back from traveling at the end of March, I’d been working from home, and had converted my closet into a mini-office, while still storing my clothes and other random storage-closet type items there. It was messy. Dark. Cold. And a little depressing.
My new studio rocks my world. I will take a photo/draw a picture of it soon…

There are so many pretty awesome illustrations to be found in the portfolio of Frédérique Bertrand. I had a hard time deciding which one to post.

hey isn’t this illustration so calm and melancholy? I want to go to that place. in a boat with my dog. and wear a yellow hat.
